I began with 136 BMG 50
Accuracy was ok But velocity was slow.
Bumped up to 137 gr and velociy increased but still slow
Sunday I bumped up to 139 and I was at 2961 FPS with vertical.
It was cold and I was not warming the barrel, loading 5 rounds and using the first two as warmers. Another words cold bore groups.
I returned home and bumped 5 more rounds up to 141 gr BMG 50.
Again cod bore and nearing darkness the second shot was a half bullet diameter out of group. Other four rounds cut a perfect clover leaf.
Velocity is close to where I think I need to be.
3010 FPS
11 SD

what range where you shooting? anything closer than 600yds won't tell you much. the bullets aren't even stabilized until that distance.

The H50 should have at least one more node in it. More speed, less time in the wind :D
Exactly. Someone thought most people were shooting these 377’s in mid 3’s so I will bump powder one more time and see if it gets me to 3,050 FPS. As long as an increase in powder yields a increase in velocity you are ok and have not topped out.

I'm a little confused by this statement. Could you explain please? it was my understanding, a bullet is stabilized as it leaves the muzzle, and over flight duration, begins to destabilize. So how could a bullet go from destabilization to stabilized, then destabilize again near the end of trajectory. Keep in mind, I do understand the concept of destabilization at the end of trajectory, I'm just not clear on the destabilization from the muzzle.

The ole wives tale, of the re-stabilizing bullets. I dont know where you got the idea of bullets stablizing or going to sleep after after a certian distance but its a false narrative.

If it starts stable it will remain stable, crossing into transonic and subsonic you might have a destabilizing effect pending bullet design.
