.375-303 British

Looking for a reamer to buy or rent for the .303 British case necked up to .375. Haven't had any luck finding even a listing for one in the rental companies or the reamer manufacturers. Since the .303 has been wildcatted extensively in Canada, I am hoping for some help from our Canadian members. I put a wanted ad in Classifieds, but don't hold out much hope there. Any leads would be appreciated. Probably can get one custom made by PTG or JGS, but it would be pretty costly for a one-off project. CH Tool & Die does list dies for it if I can find a reamer.

Also might want to see if anyone in “Pommy Land” has one or know of a supplier of that reamer… Contacting one of the clubs, especially if there is an “African” hunting club.
Just wondering if it is really worth trying to build a large calibre on such an old case design?
Is this envisioned as a single shot {rimed cases lend to that idea} or a bolt action and if using a WWII 303 action would they even be capable of handling the sort of pressure such a cartridge might put on the action?
A “Moose & Bear” rifle I suppose…?

Your making things difficult. There are many good std calibers.

A smidge off topic but I believe Ken Waters did a PET LOADS article on that caliber.

Hip
Thanks, I have his 2 vol. set, didn't think to look there. Also have most Handloader mags from #1 to 100++.

We have a deer season that requires a straight wall ctg. This meets that definition, as does the .45-70. I have a P14 action, stock and a .375 bbl. blank on hand. I've made a dummy round and it feeds well. The effect with a 230 gr. will be something like a .35 Whelen. Used a .458 Win. last year with reduced load, but opting for something a little lighter. Not interested in the the low powered .350 Legend. Being rimmed, this case will also work well in a single shot and probably could make it work in a Siamese Mauser.
