Looking for some input on powders and charges for the 280gr Marker solid copper bullet in a 350 Legend to have a subsonic round. This will be for a bolt action. Thanks!

I don't shoot the 350 Legend ...the 10 twist is good and needed for this heavy bullet. So the way to shoot subs with little data is to work your way down...ya need a good chronograph!
Hornady has load data for their 250 gr SubX but all the data is super sonic... any of their 1300 for data for those powders listed will be your starting load to work backwards to 1050 fps for your rifle...in 1/2 gr steps until 1100 fps area is reached ....then adjust your load to your rifle .2 grain increments will make a difference, when your close.
H 110 14.8 gr is a safe place to start at 1300 fps and work down to around 11.0 gr for your heavier 280 gr bullet, to be around 1100 fps for subsonic shooting...always make sure there is an impact or another hole in the target to make sure the bullet did not stick in the barrel...until you have a proven load for your rifle. Also long bullets can bulge the case way down toward the case head as the brass tapers thicker toward the case head...stopping chambering of the round with the case bulge...not all brass is the same here...and a slight bulge is OK...if it chambers in your rifle... ran some 185 gr jacketed 9mm subsonic Luger case with this problem out of an AR ...I put the bullets in a lathe collet and machined a boattail, problem solved.

I'm actually working on the 8.6 Blackout in an ar10 platform...it's a 3 twist ...too fast IMO ...Can't run lead core 285 ELDM bullets at 1400 and expect them to make 50 yds... some bullets come apart as soon as they leave tbe confines of the barrel dangerous to muzzle devices and nearby people.
Learned a lot loading this caliber and I'm not so sure I'll stick with it...it's really a subsonic only with the 3 twist barrel. I have a bunch of loads ready including 300 gr Bergers to test as soon as the weather is better. Whats strange about this cartridge is I can use the same powder charge of 1680 for all bullets 200 to 300 grs for sub loads the velocity just move a little bit.
Also playing with the 358 Win in AR 10 mostly super...and will see it the 250 gr SubX for the 350 legend will work in the 358 and its twist, at sub and super sonic.it will be shooting 358, .357 legend, and .357 mag pistol bullets...versitle.

Where have you seen the data for the 250gr SubX? I found the bullets for sale but it does not list them in the 11th edition

The Hornady load data for " New" bullets is on the Hornady web site there are about 20 calibers listed and the 350 Legend with 250 gr SubX is listed...click on it
Search :
"Load data Hornady manufacturing" it will be there. A page with a list of new calibers including the 250 SubX 350 legend...there are like six powders listed for that bullet starting at 1300 to 1650 fps. Should help get ya started.
