35 Rem

Hey guys, a quick question for you all, I recently picked up dies, brass, and bullets from a gent here on the forum, I picked up some H335 and am in the process of duplicating some handloads my dad has been using for a while.

My question is concerning crimp, the rifle is a tube fed gun and I was wondering how much crimp you must use to get the bullets to stay put. What is the best way to tell when you have gotten here? I have a Lee crimp die to do the work.

Thank you!

On the lee FCD just make sure you can see the crimp mark fairly well defined on the mouth of the case and you'll be good. Also, whenever crimping make sure your brass is all trimmed to same length. When seated the crimp falls into the middle of the cannalure on the bullet.

Love my .35 Remington lever gun - I've put down a lot of game with it.
