35" 6mm 8 twist barrel. what would you do with it?

I'm interested in what you would do with a 35" Krieger 8 twist 4 groove 6mm barrel?

Cut it? No way. It may be impractical, but if you decide you don't need that much barrel, I guarantee someone will buy it.

Now that I think of it, I have a 30" 8 twist Douglas. If you want less barrel, I'll trade and add cash.

I like 7.5 twist for Dtacs. I'd chamber something with more powder than a 6br to take advantage of that length. 105 hybrids are still good bullets with 8 twist. run them at 3200 fps+ and they'll buck some wind.

Cut it in half, and make 2 short, but handy barrels! A suppressed 6 Dasher is lots of fun to shoot and will be a Tac driver to boot! Decisions, decisions!

Well we don't make anything in small caliber over 30 inch finished length just makes your job harder to keep a good tune I don't run anything longer than 28 inches myself if you just want speed leave it like it is.

6-.338 Lapua. Use 55 grain bullets and see if you can break 5000 fps.

6mm Rem AI....or a 6x284 Win would be the easiest. Then when it shoots the lands out in 700 rounds, cut it to 28” from the back end and build your 6BR, BRX, Dasher, etc and get another 2500 out of it.

Sorry that is a useless barrel. You would never have a rifle that would balance. Cut it and be done. You will eventually find used for the stub.

Cut 7" off. Take the stub and machine a 6-357 sig barrel for your favorite pistol. Could be the next big thing...
