.338 RUM Muzzle Brakes

Greetings,
I ended up with Stiller action, McMillan A-5, a 31” HV Obermeyer 1-9.3” .338 barrel, some brass and a 338RUM reamer. Anyone have experience with the Cortina Tuner Brake? Any suggestions. No plans for a suppressor, but want to cut as much recoil as I can. My 9.3x62 with 286’s is plenty…
Thank you,
John

I use an APA Fat Bastard on my .338 LM and the recoil reduction is great - it feels about the same as my unbraked ,284 Win. As an added benefit it sweeps the adjacent benches clean! The muzzle is threaded 3/4-24 which leaves a lot more meat in the barrel for the larger calibers, and APA makes self-timed and traditional versions of their brakes.

MBM Beast 4 or 5 port is probably what you need. They are THE best at reducing recoil, period. There is none better. Watch his videos. Hes tested, and bested them all including the Terminator and Fat Bastards. MBMs are all I run. I actually have one for sale if you're interested.

Biggest rifle I shoot now is just a little 7-300 Win mag with 180s at 3100, but It recoils less than my 223 and I have zero issues shooting it all day, and spotting my own shots from muzzle to 1400 on 25x with a beast 4 port brake. But I've had them on 300 mags and 338 EDGE shooting 300g smks at 2850 and they all work fantastic.
