What charge weight for Retumbo and the 300gr Berger bullets in the 338 norma case.

Start around 88grs and work up. Hope this helps. Most use mrp powder.

What jp said. I did a ladder test starting at 88gr. of Retumbo & worked up. Once I found a sweet spot, I did a primer test & Fed 215M worked the best for my setup.

The norma is 100 fps slower than the lapua.N 165 proved to be the most accurate powder in my barrel at 88g which gave 2900fps with a 250g pill.Interestingly enough that also is the accuracy load from VV for the 338 lapua.It is a wonderful cartridge and that load was very repeatable.Thanks to my buddy Jimmy Sloan.Jimmy if you are listening I need my book back.To answer the question retumbo gave 2700 fps with a 300 g bullet.Cheers to all !

JP would you have any load data or velocity numbers for MRP and a 300 grn bullet?

Got a new RWS 338 that is coming in and I have a lot of MRP but not much data...any data is welcome.

Hi mate I know it’s a long shot!! But do you have any load data on 285 grain hornady eld projectile with the retumbo powder I’m in Australia and the actual powder is ADI 22205 but is cemically the same (so I’m led to believe)? And info would be great
