338 neck bushings

I have new Lapua brass,338)and need to measure a loaded round to order the correct bushing,s).Without any neck bushings,I cannot size the case,to hold the bullet,to measure the case, etc, etc, etc.Any help on a range of bushings to order would be greatly appreciated.thank you in advance for any help.

How about measuring the neck wall thickness, double that, and then measure the bullets diameter, and deduct .002 from that for a bushing size ????
If you don't need to turn necks you'll be fine that way.
A bushing .001 over and under that will give a good range of fit to work with.....

I was told by a freind because of the initial quality of the Lapua brass,to try shooting them and see how well they shoot before buying the neck turning equipment and turning them.Is there any merit to this approach? thanks for the help preacher

If the necks need turned you may not be able to safely shoot them before they are turned.... any idea of what the reamer spec's are for neck turning ??
Lapua brass is about as good as it gets.... and most folks these days do not turn brass
near as much.
