.338 Lapua Magnum Muzzle Break

I was in a Cabelas store here in my home state of Texas, I happened to see a .338 Lapua Magnum in a Savage Elite Precision with a 30” barrel and an MDT Aluminum chassis for $2100 but they had some specials going on & with all that I got it for $1850 after taxes, I need a muzzle break I don’t want to shoot it without one! LOL

Any help to choosing one, will gladly help. Thanks guys..

PS here’s a pic but the scope is just mocked up there as the base screws that came with the picitiny they don’t fit they’re 8-40 & ones I got were 6- something diameter.

This is what I use. The T5 Model.
Very effective.
A shooting buddy has the same rifle as you. His shoots pretty well and you should be able to enjoy it for the distances it's capable of there in Texas.

I have 2 new never used 338-5/8×24 muzzle brakes for sale price includes shipping

This right here !

Just a humorous, but important, aside. My 338 Lapua Mag (a 110 BA Savage) came new with a muzzle break installed. For something that is basically a shoulder fired cannon, the muzzle break works great - recoil is about the same as a somewhat heavy (9 pound) 308. However, this is far and away the loudest firearm in my collection; insert quality earplugs, then put on your best sound muffs too. Always use double sound protection with a 338 LM that has a muzzle break.

Nathan Wright at Muzzle Brakes and More
Generally the least costly of all the brakes I have purchased and, IMO, the most effective.
I have three of his. On my 338 Edge, I have a five port, it is much quieter and with less recoil than the Savage 110 BA 338LM w/ tanker brake, even though my Edge rifle, 12# w/ glass, is 5 lbs lighter than the Savage was.
It wasn't until I started shooting the edge with the MBM brake that I realized how inconsiderate it was of me to shoot the 110 BA in an enclosed range building.

I too have one of Nathan's side port brakes and it really does a great job of taming the recoil of my 6.5 SAUM. Allows me to see and hear the steel clang which is most of the fun!

Pretty good looking Savage.
I think I would just get a tuner break from Eric Cortana
Funny you say that Martyj, I own 2 tuners from him for my benchrest rifles one for a 30BR, that shoots lights out, the other is a varmint .223 & we both live in South Texas. Have you been watching he’s Black Jack Series? He has some great products…
