338 Federal with CFE223 Powder

I just started loading this combo with 200 gr Speer Hot Cor bullets. At the Max load listed of 50 grains of powder according to Hodgdons website, I'm getting just under 2,650 fps which is 100 fps higher than what they say should be 2,547 fps. This is a first for me getting higher velocities than published load data. I've loaded up to 52 grains of this powder so far with no pressure signs but have not chronographed them. Anyone have any good loads for this round. One thing I have noticed is this powder seems to be pretty dirty. I tried magnum primers as well thinking it was unburned powder but the barrel still looked dirty after shooting a couple rounds. My barrel is a 10 Twist, 24" MGM, on an Encore.

I loaded up some more rounds with the same bullet and powder, Winchester and lapua brass, fed 215/210/and wolf LR primers. I ran the rounds through the chronograph and observed I was getting much higher velocity with Lapua brass (can someone explain this to me). I achieved 2,746 fps with Lapua brass, 52.5 grains of powder, and Wolf LR primers. That's pretty good performance for a little case. ;D
