3000 or close is attainable with the right powder and freebore. I wouldn't plan on much shorter then 30 inch barrel. Matt

My last edge I was at 2912 with n570 , 300 Berger ,Adg brass and a 30 inch barrel. It was hard on brass at that speed. I just had a 338LM improved built to replace it, haven’t got to test it yet.

A standard Edge with a 28" barrel and 300 grainers usually tunes around 2800. Shawn Carlock's +P reamer adds another 100-150 fps. These are not hot rod loads.

RELAODER 33 is the powder for both of them. More velocity, less pressure and shoots really accurate. Matt

I have rl33 to try in this 338 ai. Only had n570 and h1000 when I had the edge.

Yes, because the pressure is too high. Either back off on the powder charge or switch to a different powder & work up Safely.
