What length barrel and taper are you guy`s running??????

I am leaning twords 24" and a HV taper......

Any reason this won`t work????

How`s it compare to what others are using?????

That's about what most are using. Get the balance and tracking right and you should be a happy camper when it's done.

I prefer to start with a BR (not Rem HV or whatever) HV taper with 5" of 1.250 not 1.200 at the chamber end of the barrel. Most of the better barrel makers know when you ask for this taper. The 1.250 at the chamber end puts just a tad more weight towards the balance point.
Does this make any difference....who knows?

Barrel makers often style that barrel "Max Heavy Varmint".

I've been the 1.200 "HV" a couple of times. Won't be doing it any more.
