Which ones can shoot the best? If you were to order some to make your own bullets for the 30BR- 7ogive point.
.925 vs 1.000 jacket and what total weight?

Larry the .925 jacketed bullets are easier to tune than the 1" jackets. I've made bullets between 108 grain and 125. Very few people have brain damage like me and cut their own cores so I got to experiment with different weight bullets. It's up to your barrels which projectiles it likes. I've had barrels that shot only one weight bullet well while I've had other barrels that liked 3 or 4 different weight bullets while a few other barrels liked them all it didn't matter. So you have to experiment a lot. My Niemi dies made a 7 Ogive bullet while my David D die made a 10.So what is the .925 jacket weight limit as far as 30BR is concerned?
Thanks for the feed back. Right now I've only made 111.5 and 112 grain bullets. I wasn't sure how far you could go in the weight department with .925's. I've made them fat and short and in-between. I have to say what Jackie has stated as far as diameter is concern seem to be the best so far. .3085 at the base and .308 on the body.Larry the .925 jacketed bullets are easier to tune than the 1" jackets.
