.308 win pistol load data needed

now here is a blast from the past...is the bbl original...how long is it...does it have a break....
I had good results with faster powders bak in my younger yrs with the pistol length bbls...and the break really helps with muzzle pressure...
The action will handle any pressure you want...but...the flash will indicate too much powder and poor accuracy....if you are hunting get all the velocity that u can...Roger

All original! SN-129

15" bbl, no break.

I'm going to shoot it this Saturday at a local reduced silhouette match.

I have 8 lbs of Varget, so I'd like to use it if possible.

This is the load information that is in my Hodgdon's 2006 annual manual for the 308 Pistol with a Winchester case, Fed. 210M primer, 15 inch barrel 1:12" twist.
Varget powder start load for 168 gr Sierra HPBT COL 2.800" 42.0 grs 2386 fps Max load 46.0 grs compressed load for 2580 fps.

Varget is the powder that gives the most velocity of all the powders listed. Hope this helps.
