308 Varget 165 Grain Accubond Starter Load

Anyone got a good recipe to start with? This will be for 3 rifles to test. CVA Cascade, Christensen Mesa and SIG Cross.

Depending on the brass you're using (if case volume is around 56.0 grs of H2O) and if you're going to load them to the standard 2.800 COAL, you might look at something around 41.0 grs. and use CCI-200 (assuming you're using LRP brass).

I ran 43.5g of Varget in my 308 with 165’s, seated to mag length. Not a max load but shot in the 1/4-1/2moa all day long for me. I’d work up to that charge though since it’s being used in 3 different guns

Yep, CCI 200 with Norma brass. 2600-2700 is good for what I am looking for. Wasn't sure if anyone had worked up loads for these rifles. I think Bergara loads would be close for the CVA as it uses a Bergara barrel.

I have done Node testing with ES and SD, seating depth and ended up wasting a lot of components with not much to show for groups. Funny, just shot three different loads 5 grains apiece in 270 and found 2 good load groups only using about 20 rounds of ammo.
