308 TZ brass

Had a friend drop off a bunch of reloading supplies from his deceased fathers closet.. There is about 500 308 cases marked TZ 82 (year of manuf.?) They are all primed (Boxer) and appear to have lacquer around the primer. I am guessing they are military which the bullets have been pulled. Also 1000 brass 30-06 marked IMI 76. Also boxer primed....all bullets pulled. Are these cases worth doing anything with or just scrap?

Yes sir!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The imi brass is good quality and the tz is military eastern bloc stuff,good quality.You may have to prep them more after you fire them.

Thanks for the info...glad I asked as I had no idea.
Do you know if those lacquered primers (appear to be) remove easily (slow push in a re sizing die is how I have had success with regular brass). Also there does not appear to be any type of crimp around the primer.

If there is alittle laquer around the primer dont even worry about it.If it was on the length of it that would be a different story.
