.308 Ruger American

Don't get on here often, but the feed-back has always been great. Due to pick up a NIB .308 Ruger American. Has anyone on this forum put one thru its paces. Have you done any load development? Some have said it reliably does 1" out of the box with standard factory ammo. I will be looking for a bit better than that, so maybe some clues. Thanks,

Hi Gary! Before you shoot it check that the barrel is floated, the action is torqued properly, and the trigger if adjustable is set as low as you are comfortable with. You can go further and have the action bedded. See how it shoots before you start spending money. Because you can spend as much as you need it to be accurate!! LOL! Good luck! Regards, Dwight.
