.308 Reloading Equipment

I have two Dillion 550B's I use for pistol reloading. I am wanting to reload .308 but cannot decide whether to buy a conversion kit and dies and use the 550 or buy a single stage and go that way. Any suggestions appreciated.

Any suggestions on dies, equipment etc also helpful.

Thanks

You can take down your 550 and make it a single stage and use it, This what I do except my press is the AT-500 a stripped version of the 550 and I load my ammo using this press with no problems. This press Redding competition dies is as good as it gets for concentricity on necks and loaded rnds.

The 550 configured as a progressive press ought to work well
for loading 308. I've long thought the 550 was one of the best
values out there. I bought a 650 and later changed my loading
process by doing the priming step by hand. I would have been
better off spending less money and getting a 550.
