I was thinking about trying out some Lapua .308 Palma brass for my .308 WIN rifle. I am told this brass (which uses SR primers instead of LR) can reduce vertical dispersion, increase accuracy, and reduce initial pressure spikes. However, would a load with this brass be legal in most F-Class competitions in the F-TR division, where the caliber is supposed to be .308 WIN? I assume it would be since its really just a primer change, but I figured I should ask...
Also, any general advice/experiences from people using this brass? I'm told it has problems with ignition in cold weather, but I'm not sure how cold we are talking. I also heard that the SR primers are a little harder and can cause light primer strikes in some rifles. I'm using a factory Savage 10 FCP HS Precision in .308 WIN.
