308 Norma Mag...

I have a friend of mine that has a fine old Mauser in 308 Norma Mag...if you look at the price of new ammo it will scare you!!! Has anyone out there ever resized 300 Winchester mag to 308 NM?? I see it can be done but would like some first hand knowledge. Thanks.

I necked down Winchester .338 win mag brass for mine and it worked fine.... .300 win mag brass need the shoulder pushed back and trimmed for length. More work then the .338 brass in my opinion.

My buddy in BC uses .338 WM also. Probably a better designed round than the .300 WM. Don't know the length of your magazine and throat but it is equal to the WM if you can seat the bullets out enough.
