308 loads with AR Comp or 8208?

My nephew got a Savage 10 FCP-K last Christmas and I plan to load up some rounds for him.

I have 8 lb containers of AR Comp and IMR8208XBR and plan to use 175g SMKs. I plan to load at 2.8" to fit the magazine.

Any one have any good recipes with the above combos?

I tried 8208 with the 175SMK's without much luck, I think 3/4" was the best group. The 155's (2155's) were another story. 44 grains gave a .3 group averaging 2862fps. Have read that 8208 also works with 168's.

AR Comp will be too fast for the 175's. I've experimented and it is even a little too fast for 168's.

Do yourself a favor and try to find a box of 168's and try those.My friend has a similar rifle and 175 were the ticket but it turned out my match loads with 168's using h335 or blc-2 worked best and I shot a couple back to back groups in the low 3's with it.I handed it back and told him it was operator error.LOL
