Thanks for the help.With the old 208 Amax bullet in my .170 freebore chambered barrel (32 inch 11 twist 5R Bartlein) I was running 2620 ish jumping .015 with 43.5 gr Varget. The bullet in this chamber was seated deeper in the case than I like, right at neck/shoulder junction where boat tail started. It was in Lapua Palma brass (small primer). In large primer Lapua brass the charge would have been about 1/2 gr less give or take a little. It was a accurate load in 300 yard testing but never shot it past that distance. The load was on par with the Berger and JLK loads at the same distance accuracy wise. It was a stout load, DO NOT start that high with your powder charge if you test this bullet (208 Amax or ELD-M).
