308 lapua brass pet load now in palma brass

I have a very nice load for the 155.5 triple nickel berger bullets in regular lapua brass for the 308. about 3000 f p s and it groups well and holds a nice waterline at 800 and 900 meters.

if I take the exact powder charge to the kernel and seating depth remains the same what might happen when I load it in PALMA brass as opposed to REGULAR large lapua brass,

I do not think much change will be experienced but I am going to a major match and would prefer not to get any surprises as I do not have the distance ot check any change before the match as the only 1000 yard strch in on the hiway outside my place and that perhaps may be frowned upon

Yes, that's the norm with most powders to obtain the same pressures / velocities. To sum up, you'll need to fine-tune your load again.

I learn fast so I am already resizing 300 of the once fired in my stash, thanks guys

I was under the impression that the small primer can and does take more pressure and thus a higher velocity and perhaps better groups at max velocity or so BUT I thought there was a chance the same other parameters might result in being able to fireform the breass with the 155.5 load and then use that just fired once fired brass for the 185 jugg load work up with H4895

thanks again Jefferson
