.308 bullet identification

I purchased these a couple years ago, I believe off GB. They are I believe a non lead, tipped(green) copper hunting bullet. Since I don't buy "target" bullets. I intended to shoot them in my 30TC, or 30-06. For my 30TC load work is experimental mostly. They came bulk in a Ziploc, no help there. They shoot very well loaded to mag length with several powders, charge weights. Checked several all 1.416 inches. Thanks IMG_20240720_115857805.jpg

I think you are correct. The length matches the 168 tipped bullet. But has an extra ring, that maybe why the weight is slightly heavy of 165. The 165 tipped have 4 rings but are much shorter overall. At very least I know expansion fps minimum for the Barnes line. Now I will need to chrono my loads to learn max hunting distance and drop charts. These probably were some factory seconds, why I got a large bulk bag very reasonable.

Got to the range a little early for my thermal scope zeroing. Had the Icon 30tc with and 3 rds with the bullets .5 gr higher charge of exterminator. They shoot good over a wide charge weight range.IMG_20240720_202954889.jpg
