.308 brass Lapua and Lake City values

I was hoping someone can help me here. A friend of mine who shot long range competition just passed on and I'm trying to help sell some of his stuff. I have 890 rounds of Lake city 77 match brass deprimed, once fired and 178 rds of Lapua deprimed once fired. I'm trying to get an idea of what this stuff is worth. I love to shoot but have never gotten into the long range match stuff so I'm not sure if there is any interest in this brass. I would really appreciate any help you all can give. Thanks and remember Obama is going to save us all.

Sorry about the loss of your shooting friend. We are diminished.

New, Lapua .308 brass can be had typically, when available, for $60/hundred plus shipping. I'd suggest that once-fired would be a bit less valuable, i.e. that you could probably get $50/hundred for it easily enough.

As to once-fired Lake City .223 brass, maybe consider that new Winchester .223 brass can be had for about $25/hundred, plus shipping. Maybe price your Lake City stuff for $20/hundred.

As to shipping, esp. for the bunch of Lake City cases, I recommend the USPS 'Priority Mail' Flat Rate box. The box is free at the Post Office, the postage is $9.00,I think), and it can go anywhere in the USA,including AK and HI) and the weight limit is seventy pounds! They have two sizes of these boxes, and the one you want is about 11' x 5.5' x 8'. Such a deal, and no problems at all shipping brass.

Good luck, and may your friend rest in peace. I'm glad he doesn't have to see Obama disgrace the US Constitution,or more accurately the abomination that this radical liberal tool represents).

I really appreciate the response. I should have been clear though. The Lake City brass is also .308 if that makes any difference. My friend can rest easier knowing he won't have to suffer through the next 4 years of H.U.A. governing.

Look around AR15.com Equipment Exchange for comparable brass and price accordingly. nationalmatch.com would have buyers waiting there too. M1-A match rifles really NEED this HD brass and as such will sell quickly.

I really apreciate the help. I put the brass on Gunbroker and sold it all the first day and I thought my buy it now prices were on the top end. Maybe I sold it too cheap, But my friends family was happy and if that brass is gonna go out and burn through some M1 he will rest easy. Thanks again you'all are great.
