.300WSM through a Lapua Magazine

wboggs

I am looking for help in obtaining a center feed magazine to work with a .300WSM cartridge loaded to an overall length of 3.28" with a Berger 215 Hybrid. One is not offered by the major firms and a WSM will not work with a .300WM magazine. Perhaps it would feed through the Lapua. I can furnish dummy rounds if someone has any suggestions or will try it.
Thanks
Bill

Call these guys.

They sell a modified AI magazine that works with 300 WSM. I do not know if it will be as long as you need it but call and find out. Good luck.

Thanks Erik Called and no response to my message. Will keep you updated. Suspect the long OAL is the problem. Do you shoot a .300WSM in competition?

Yes, I shoot a 300 WSM in competition. I also built a hunting rifle with CDI bottom metal. I'll measure it this weekend and let you know what the magazine overall length.

That would be very helpful. I do want to load the heavy target bullets to a long OAL and use the same load for tactical. What action, stock did you use on the hunting rifle? Sounds like this make work for tactical.
