Just picked up a LNIB Sendero in 300 RUM. It is the 26" fluted barrel now before I start loading for it here is my question. I shoot the 185 berger target hybrids out of my 300WIN and I have a LOT of them since this is a factory barrel and only 26" should I shoot them in the RUM too or go with something heavier like the 215hybrid or the 230 grainers???

My 300RUM's love the Barnes MRX 180gr and also the 180 gr. Accubonds. I can't see why the 185 LRBT wouldn't work. They shoot great in my .308s

That bullet should be fine out of that barrel. What powder? All 3 of mine, 2 factory, 1 Pacnor barrel liked Retumbo.

Your RUM should love those 185 Bergers. I started out shooting 190 class bullets in my RUM but gravitated to 208 A-Max which it loves. Mine's a 10 twist Brux barrel 28.5 inches long. Some factory 10 twist barrels may not stabilize 230 or 240 grainers. Best to stay under 220 grain bullets.

I am thinking retumbo is gonna be a winner, but I am gonna try some reloader 22 since I use it in a couple other guns.
