300RUM New loader

I am starting to reload for my sendero in .300 RUM. I have 200gr accubonds and remington 9 1/2m primers can any one give me a few good starting loads and powder choices? retumbo, rl25? Also just been loading for pistol, how much does seating depth affect acuracy in a bottle neck cartridge? Thanks in advance Milky

I use H1000. Load at 82.5 grains with 210FedM Primers and 200 gr SMK. Not moving at mach IV but is extremely accurate out to 1000 yards. Scott

I have a .300 R.U.M. AND I use 200 grain Accubonds.. My BEST load is 96.0grs of Retumbo and my next load is 92.0grs of RL-25>>>>BOTH fire best with Fed. 215GM's... Velocity on both is slightly in excess of 3200f.p.s. Accuracy is "about" an inch at 200 yards... Some of that is me because there is NO BRAKE on the rifle... I believe if it had a break, I could shoot it a tad better. The Retumbo burns nice and clean>>the RL-25 is like charcoal!

Retumbo is my go powder for my .300 RUM. My hunting rifle I shoot 180 gr. Nosler Balistic Tips, so my load will not help you out. H-1000 was not ouite as good as Retumbo. 200 yards under 1 inch, I have a Harrel's muzzlebrake on it. The rifle is a 26 inch Remington SS BDL.
