I am going on a moose hunt this Friday. (Not much time for load development) I have shot 250 NP and Speer GS with decent groups out to 350 yds. I have a option to buy a box of 300 Bergers for $100 to try. They seem to heavy for a 338 Win mag. My rifle is a Model 70 Alaskan 25" factory pipe with a 1/10" twist.
Any of you tried these in a 338wm?

Personally, I would be sure my loads for the Partition and the Grand Slam were prepared and I had confidence in my ability to place those bullets properly. Either of these will be be perfect for your hunt.

I don't want to rush around at the last minute trying to create a better load with an unknown bullet. I want to spend my time making sure I have all the other things I need and that I'm ready for the hunt.

Enjoy the Hunt!:)

Yes sir I agree. In the past we have had great performance out of the NP and GS bullets. Not the tightest groups but the performance has been the best out of any others I have seen on Moose.
