.300 WSM and ramshot Magnum

I am currently looking for some insight into a specific load for a 300 WSM. I have a small gross of Ramshot Magnum I was able to pilfer for my .300 Win Mag. The power is not normally a "preferred" powder for the short mag, but I will be using it in an 1885 with a28" barrel, and pushing either a 208 grain A-Max or the new 210 grain Accubond Long Range. With the added barrel length and heavier bullet, I am hoping the slow RS Mag will work. I would stick with the 4831sc but I am having a helluva time finding it. Anyone have thoughts on the subject? Zimm.

I don't shoot a 300, but in the guns I shoot H4831sc in Magnum is a good substitute. I was having a hard time finding Magnum and made the switch to 4831. An e-mail to Western Powder would give you a good start on finding a load.
