300 WinMag load for 175 SMK

Hey guys, I have been trying to find a solid load for the 175SMK or Berger 175VLD. What powders are you guys using and what COAL? Any help would be greatly appriciated as I am having a hard time finding a good load for this gun which is a REM 700 with a 26inch Barrel. I have tried 4831, R22, H1000, H4350 and even just loaded some mild RETUMBO loads that I have to try. Again, Any help would be great!

just asking but why not use the 175gn bullets for a 308 and move up to 190gn-210gn bullets for the 300wm.for the most part you will then have a loaded round that can really take care of things.from shooting at longer ranges to shooting game at longer ranges with good take down power.just seems to me you are going the wrong way.but again its something I do so take it with a grain of salt.bt still really think you should look into a 208gn A-mx or a 210gn Berger.even H1000 will be a good powder choice for the two bullets.and around 74-76gn's of H1000 will give you a good load in your 26" barrel.

I shoot a Remington Sendero in 300 Win. Mag, these loads shoot in the .3's 77 gr. H4831sc,150gr. Sierra BT[#2125],CCI 250 mag. primer,Win. cases and COL 3.360.
Also 73 gr. R22,180 gr. Sierra Spitzer FB[#2150],CCI 250 mag. primer,Fed. cases
and COL 3.360. You can substitute the 180 Sierra's for 180 Barnes TTSX w/ COL 3.370. Please remember these work in my gun. You should start a grain or 2 lower and work up. Also the COL works in my gun....CHECK YOUR CHAMBER FOR COL.
