300 win mag problems.

Hey fellas I need some help. I have a tikka t3 in 300 win mag. I started reloading last year and ran into some problems. Just FYI I'm using hornady cases and Speer 180 grain spitzers. The problem I've ran into is when I chamber the cartridge, it seems to rub or cut about 1/16" of the tip off. I have played with the oal of the of the round an the problem is constant, any ideas?

This is a feeding issue with the rifle, not an ammo problem.
If the feed ramp is directing the bullet tip into the front of the chamber edge, where the belt recess is, this can shave the bullet tip without you even feeling it.

I would get the rifle checked for this by a qualified 'smith.

Cheers.
:)
