.300 Win.mag./Nosler Brass

Does anybody know if the neck wall thickness of this brand of brass is fairly even.I have been using Lapua which is very consistant <.0015" and no need to neck turn. Most of 100 pieces is less than .001".Second,Nosler's web site states that their brass is heavier than Win. or Rem. brass.Does this indicate less internal volumn-less powder or more pressure with the same volumn of powder?
Thanks,
Jimmy

Jimmy I use Nosler brass in my 300 win. I do not measure the necks so I can't help you there but the internal volume is less. I had to drop my loads down a grain in most cases.

+1 on the reduced loads

I went up to 78 gr RL22 with 190 gr VLDs with RP brass I used for finding "max loads". With Nosler brass, I topped out at 75 gr RL 22 and getting higher velocity; however, I attribute that to over-pressured rounds.

I love the 300WM Nosler brass for my use.

sewwhat29 I am at 72.4gr of RL-22 with 210gn Bergers seated into the lands 10 thousands. What load do you use with the 190's?

I am using 74 gr RL 22 with 190 gr VLDs at 2954 fps, IIRC on the vel,0.010" into the lands)

I use 69.5 gr IMR 4350 with the 190 SMKs at 2920 fps,0.003" into the lands)

It looks like about 76-77 gr H1000 will be the ticket with the 210 SMKs,no clue about the lands - I used the same die setting as the Berger VLDs due to their similar profile) :o
