300 win mag brass

Here is the problem. I bought a box of 100 lapua brass brand new. I can't even get one firing out of the brass. It swells above the belt. It doesn't matter what load or primers I use or what rifle I use it does the same thing . I've tried different powders and primer combos as well. Everything measures perfect until I fire it the it tries to stick in the chamber or does stick. This is brand new brass never been fired. I'm leaning towards bad brass.

It sounds like to me the chamber was made with a worn reamer. Any further details? What dies? What other brass have you used successfully?

I shoot a christensen arms mesa. This is the only brass that this happened with. It does the same thing in my other 3 300 win mag as well. A cva cascade a model 1500 Howa and a remington 770. I use gunwerks brass and remington brass with no issues. And rcbs dies.

Rumors are ADG makes the gunwerks brass. I would say it is made to SAAMI spec(as is Rem) vs the CIP specs for Lapua? Why I don't use Lapua in my custom 22-250 (minimum SAAMI chamber).

The Larry Willis die will size the area to the belt. Not sure whether it will swell again to first firing dimensions and cause extraction issues. Hopefully not?
This! With thinner webbed brass like FC, I run the Willis die every firing or it won't chamber. RWS, I can get a few firings, but nearly have to rip the press off the bench to squeeze it back down.

The Larry Willis is ABSOLUTELY mandatory for a 300 WM reloader. I'll get well over 10 firings on RWS brass by using the die.
