300 win bullet info

I am working on a 300 win build and picked up some sierra 210 matchkings and some hornady 208 match hpbt's anyone used these in a 300 win mag and what was your experience with them?

Those work great with a 1 in 10" twist barrel. Should still work well with a 1 in 12" though. Both very accurate bullets.

Try some RL-22 if temp variations are not a major issue, like with a hunting rifle. IMR 7828, RL-25, Hogdon 4831, H-1000, and maybe Retumbo. But depending on bullet seating depth, Retumbo might be too much of a compressed load to get good speeds.

Basically any of the slower powders should work well with them. The Hogdon powders are better for temp variations.

Berger 210gr VLD's and Hornady 208gr A-Max are two more really good bullets for accuracy.

in my 300 win mag imr4831 with 208 amax works quite well. the 208 hpbt is new and suppose to be better. i actually shoot an 11 twist. i have some sie210's but not shot them yet.

the barrel will be a 1:10 twist at 27"

I am hoping to use h1000 on them with some cci 250's to light it.

i wanted to use the 215 bergers, but not easy to get, so when i was out yesterday and came up on these two bullets i picked them up.

i figured I would start at about .010" off the lands and see what happens, once the gun is complete.
