300 Win and 200gr Accubond

I shoot 190-210 class bullets in my .300 mag, and the powder of choice at least in mine is RL-22, I am loading 75.0 with a Fed. GM215M primer under a 190 bullet, With the 200 Accubonds try about 71 to start and work your way up in .5 increments. Accubonds are a very accurate bullet. The usual warnings apply of course.

The .300wm is a excellent rifle and the accubonds are excellent bullets.
Mine likes rl-22 H-4831 and vv-165 with the 180 and 200 gr accubonds. I don't know my loads off the top of my head and am not in my reloading room, but I am sure you have acess to a reloading manual, start low and work up as allways.

with the heavier bullets, i like the slower burning single base powders from imr and hodgdon. right now i am shooting 210 and 240 smk and imr 7878ssc and hodgdon retumbo respectively. i think that primers play a big role in the big magnums, especially with the charcoal slow powders. you need some good spark to get these powders up and going. but, what i like about them is the fact that they are single base and i have shot these powders from 10-95 degrees without issue. h1000 is also another powder to try. get ahold of some wolf large rifle mag primers also. best of luck

I have selected 2 powders Reloader 22 and H4831 to start my 300 Win Mag project I also have some IMR 7828 and RL 25 from a past project some years ago.

I think 74.0 of RL 22 is going to be sweet spot! Any suggestion!

AB Man,
I am shooting the 200gr. Accu Bond out of a SS700 DM .300 WM. IMR 4350 will give you 75 – 100 fps over REL 25 and 4831. My load is 67.5 gr. of IMR 4350 in Lapua Cases w/ CCI-250. Velocity is around 2,867.

baron, where did you get the lapua cases for the .300 win mag? i am tired of using winchester brass--it has been horrible lately.

Cole,
I bought them a couple of years ago, before they were discontinued. I do have a couple of buddys that have some RWS .300 WM brass that would be even better than the Lapua. Let me know if you would like some.

i believe that lapua still factory loads for the .300 win mag. i saw some listed in Midway usa not too long ago

Cole buy the factory ammo! It will last a lifetime (depending on wether it it is a short custom chamber or factory).
