300 SAUM

This project started a few years ago when my hunting 6.5x47 needed a 30 Cal. twin. Since I had been shooting a S/A WSM for 20 years I figured I would try something different. I wanted to run a 185 Jugernaut in a short action so the SAUM being a little shorter fit the bill. I mocked up two cartridges with a 185 Jug seated above the donut and take advantage of an AI Mag without the binder plate (JGS). Loaded round came out perfect 2.940" and mag fed.
I started a break in today, shoot and clean while running it up to look for pressure. After the 3rd shot no copper so I put three down range.

Very nice! How do you like it so far compared to the 300 wsm?

Also, that camo on your stock reminds me of the old school tiger stripe camo pattern.

I don't know, I think I'm going to like it just as much for the 175-185 class bullets in a S/A. Time will tell, so far it is proving to be easy to load for and a shooter.
