300 PRC OAL with SAAMI FB?

Hello guys,

Does any one of you could give me what's the OAL at the lands of a 300 PRC loaded with 250gr A-Tip in a SAAMI chamber(0.232'' FB IIRC)

The saami fb on the prc is about .170 too short for a 250 a tip. Bearing surface will be past the neck/shoulder junction. I doubt you will find many guy running that bullet in one. Im not getting good feedback on them for hunting either, and its a pretty small case for that sized bullet.

I’m just looking for a entry level ELR caliber. We only shoot 2000 to 2500 meters.

No hunting or maybe once but Inhave other caliber for that .
I don’t want to invest in a large caliber like a 33XC…
Any other suggestion?

I think you would be very happy with a 338 lapua improved. Very easy to load for and so far my favorite at 2000.

Do you have any other suggestion on a more standard caliber. I'm not sure I want to get into custom dies and etc..
