Here are a few pics of a factory ammo that shots like shit. I bought 5 boxes when i bought the rifle 3 years ago. 4 of the 5 boxes shot fine. The last year I missed an elk at 175 yards 4 times. I did kill this elk by aiming low about 18''. Thinking the gun was bumbed or ?. I shot the elk with a hand load that was not tested. But it was all I had. Now mind you I never set out to kill an elk that day. I was antelope hunting with my wifes 223. We just ran into the elk. Back to the 300prc. I took the gun to the range with the reloads. Ramshot magnum and eldx 212 that Hodgens loads should have shot the same as the factory. i only took them as I was low on ammo. The pics are the new factory ammo I purchased after I came home and had time to test the reloads I made. The loads I made were 250 fps slower than the advertised speed. with pressure signs. So I bought this box of new ammo. The ones in the pic. I think Hornady has a problem. Mind you this ammo once in my possession was treated well. No sun on the dash or extreme cold.
