Try some Reloader 50 or H50bmg. Way better case fill than h1000, reloader 33 or N570. Im using 10 gr more powder than my h1000 load. Ive never found a load w h1000 that offered great ES and SD. The h1000 load would shoot pretty good at midranges but long ranges it didn't offer the consistency. N570 would offer ES of 20 fps or so for 10 shots. I tried Reloader 50 and had a ES of 11 and SD of 3 for 9 shots. Sub 1/4 moa vertical at 580 yds also. 230 berger at a mild 3085 fps in my 30" barrel. Theres was a upper node at 3150 that wasn't hot but the node at 3085 was really wide. The reloader 50 offered amazing case fill, great velocity, great accuracy, and less pressure than n570. Itll be alot easier on the throat. I just broke in a 33XC barrel with Reloader 50 and the barrel looks WAY better at 100 rounds than my other barrel with 190 rounds down it of mostly n570. The n570 barrel looks like a 6xc at 2000 rounds. Its pretty bad. On that 33XC i found a powder charge yesterday with a ES of 3 and SD of 1 for the 4 shots of that charge i sent down range. I have had a couple customers try H50bmg in the last week with great results also. 245 berger at 2944 fps. ES of 5 fps and 1 1/4" for 4 shots at 450 yds. The other customer had great results with 215 bergers in it also. Im gonna be trying the VV 24N41 soon as well.
Ryan, based based on your experience, will Reloader 50 work well with 212-230 grain projectiles in a standard 300 Norma chamber (using Lapua brass)? Based on what you are saying in this thread the use of RE-50 would appear to almost double the barrel life in 300 Norma improved chambering compared to the use of vv N570 and/or N217 (very similar to vvN570)? What about compared to vv N568?Try some Reloader 50 or H50bmg. Way better case fill than h1000, reloader 33 or N570. Im using 10 gr more powder than my h1000 load. 568 had very good barrel life in the 300 norma improved I used it in. The reloader 50 load in the 33xc had almost zero throat erosion in a few hundred rounds. N570 will give a roughly 30% reduction in barrel life in the norma. In the 33xc i wouldn't recommend using it. .025 throat erosion every 100 rounds.Ryan, based based on your experience, will Reloader 50 work well with 212-230 grain projectiles in a standard 300 Norma chamber (using Lapua brass)?
