300 min mag brass

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum. I have a 300 win that I am looking for brass for. I just having a hard time finding any. Any thoughts or suggestions. I have been reloading for a few years now. Primarily for 308. I have everything I need to reload for my 300. But just need the brass to get started.

Buy once cry once. I got good accuracy with remington brass and lots of prep work but when I switched to Norma brass my groups shrunk instantly even during the new work up. Also had some RWS and it was just as good but they are both hard to find available.

I can get you all you need. I think it's 65c a piece. I know it sounds expensive. That's how I got the brass for my future 7mm practical. If interested message me and I'll tell you particulars

If you're ok with once fired, you can find .300WM here occasionally in the classifieds, and if not here you can find brass day long over at : http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_7/114_Reloading_Supplies.html

I had to resort to once fired for my 300WM. I picked up a 150 pieces of once fired WW brass. Problem was even after I FL resized it, some rounds wouldn't chamber. I ended up buying the Larry Willis collet die which solved the problem. I guess in the long run it was worth it but it might be an issue you may run into.

Huntingtons usually has RWS 300 Win Mag brass, it's expensive but some of the best brass out there, 50 pieces will out last your barrel and the next.

I also use the LW collet die. I don't use it unless it's needed. Each casing gets the paper clip test, and I check for the casing "base bulge" near the belt. I'm collet sizing about 1 out of 5 casings.

Always remember Google is your best friend when looking for anything. ;)

I just bought 300 rnds of Norma last week from Midway. It was the cheapest place around that had 300 rnds. Believe it or not.

I don't, it is not necessary. I removed the barrel chambered to 257 Wheatherby. After removing the barrel I proceeded to drop/plunk test 150+ 257 Weatherby cases in the chamber. A few of the cases had been hammered with heavy loads. A few of the cases did not seat to the belt, I use a raw hide case friendly hammer to seat them. Removing the cases was effortless, all the cases were Weatherby.

I could have use a collet in a lathe, I could have used another/different belted mag die. The Belted case head spaces off the belt, I can off set excessive head space on belted cases that reloaders claim will not chamber.

I am the fan of cutting down on all that case travel.

I have 23 pieces if 300 win mag brass and 300 wsm brass I'd like to trade for 308 and 7-08 brass.
