300 BLACKOUT LOADS

I thought I would share my experience with powders that work with the cartridge.

So far the best overall powder is N110. N110 is very clean and makes great subsonic and full power loads. It has performed flawlessly in my 7” and 16” barrels. Running with suppressors it really is great. Little to no gas residue and reduced fouling in the chamber. I load for 175-220 grain bullets.

Next is Little Gun, it to has a good burn factor but not as clean as N110. The worst I tested was CFE BLKOUT. Horrible! Nasty dirty and poor burn rate and poor performance.

I thought this was worth sharing with those loading for the blackout. All my COLS are mag length @ 2.220.

Thanks for the info. My son just purchased a 300 blk pistol just getting the brass made and starting load development. This gives me some good starting points. Much appreciated.

I know this is an older post. I'm curious if you had any experience with H110 and subsonic loads and can provide a comparison between H110 and N110. I've had good results with H110 loading Hornady 190 SubX and Sierra 220 SMK. My barrel length is only 5.5 inches and I have only fired suppressed. I initially went by Hornady data and tried AA5744 and it was an awful mess of unburnt powder. I would prefer to use N110, cause I have had good experience with a different VV powder, but at the time I could not find any and now I wonder if it is worth the trouble since I have a couple reliable loads. I don't want to settle though, so I do want to find out some more info about N110 and subsonic loads.
