30 TC loads without compressed powder

Currently I'm shooting varget in my Icon in 30tc with 165 gr sst. Can't get factory velocity without compressed powder charge. If someone with quickload could suggest a 95% load that would get me to factory velocity so I can run a 165 gr gmx for elk. When I compress the varget I get a slight ring just below the polymer tip, doesn't or hasn't effected accuracy or terminal performance on elk, but would like to avoid it.

Have you taken the seating stem out and lapped it with a cheap bullet? I've gotten to the point where I just chuck a throw away bullet of similar nose profile directly into my cordless with some lapping compound on it and some Kroil and spin it for a bit to take the sharp edges off. I'll clean it out and then do the same thing with some flitz to polish it and I don't have much of a ring left.

I load my 338 Federal to about a quarter inch from the case mouth and stuff a bullet on top. No issues after doing the above process to the stem.
