30 Nosler hunting velocity

Does anyone have any measured velocities from a 30 Nosler hunting rifle? In particular im looking for velocity from bullets north of 200 grains. Thanks BN

The ones I build run a 215 at 3100 in 26" with H1000. Thats a hot load and Nosler primer pockets dont live long there. Hopefully ADG brass fixes that.
Years ago I was at a get together of veteran Penna. long range hunters and overheard a conversation about velocity and case life was not a concern, the general conciseness was to get as much velocity as possible even if it meant having to throw away the case after one firing.

So one firing per case means they're shooting a completely different load every time if I read all the handloading information on this forum right, since every case is at best slightly different capacity, and at worst, very different capacity. If the case is only loaded once, how can they be sure the bullet goes where it's desired with all the variables at long range. Seems like an awful lot of work and culling and weighing and measuring for each round if the intent is to be ethical with the shot at long range. If that isn't the intent, well..... I would think it would make more sense to use cases that are a known issue and have proven themselves on long range targets during load development. After all, how many rounds a year will be fired for hunting to require tossing them after each season. I wouldn't do it myself, but I'm no long range expert by any means, and doubtful I ever will be.

My 30 Nosler is shooting 215 Hybrids using H-1000 and FED 210M. I use Nosler brass and just barely skim turn the necks. So far I've been right around 3000 fps with low ES and shooting in the .3 - .4's consistently. Going on 3 X fired brass. Rifle is built on a Stiller Predator using a Proof CF 1:10 twist.

At those velocities how does the 215 Hybrid perform on elk? I haven’t had the best luck with Bergers on game even with boiler room shots.

I shot a bull this past season at just under 550 yards, 1 shot and dropped right in his tracks. Just behind the front shoulder. Year before, black bear at 250 yards 1 shot behind the shoulder and an exit on the opposite side a little bigger than a golf ball, only went 10 yards is all. Haven't read or heard about any bad reports with the 215 hybrid, just a very lethal round out of the 30 cals on game.

I have been using my 30nosler this year on several deer. I am using nosler brass, RL26, 180 grain ballistic tip and 180 accubonds. My shortest shot has been 325yards on a tiny doe. Longest shot right around 550. They either hit the dirt right there or ran a short distance before falling. The deer that ran the farthest was a small doe at 450 that I shot with the accubond bullet. It ran I guess maybe 50-80 yards tops. Bullet still opened up and exited. It weighed a whopping 40-50# tops. The ballistic tips opened up as well, and didn’t blow up near as much as I expected they would. I think up close it might be nasty. They are running 3180fps. 26” barrel

What is your velocity???

Sorry, I must have edited post while you were typing. I had my CDS dial made for 3175fps. I just started on a new lot # of brass, and the same load dropped about 35fps, I cannot remember the numbers exactly. I do run into pressure signs well before the nosler manual had as max, but my speed was higher also. Either way where it was safe was super accurate so I was happy. Deer haven’t liked me much this year
