Maybe it's time to rev up the Dasher again! If this goes on, I plan to spend more time with mine!So it begins..
Here in Arkansas at Camp Robinson they restricted us several years ago per cal, bullet BC and velocity..we can't shoot a 180 hybrid at more than 2500fps....and it's always been restricted to "no magnums or cases with more capacity than 30/06...they can shoot whatever caliber they choose, but we are restricted.
Then, this past week, right before Mid-Range State Championships, we were informed that in order to enter based to shoot, we must have background checks. Our tax dollars are paying the bills, but they keep finding ways to restrict us. Go figure.
Thanks for the info. That's why I'm pretty sure the 7s will be next. The big question will be how far will they go. I'm guessing they'll stop at the 6.5/284 but who knows? When you have an opportunity to do so, John, you might read the Camp Butner Joint Land Use Study. There is a substantial amount of information to absorb. Listed under "Camp Butner Development Plans", is this: "Camp Butner is too small to fire any weapon larger than 7.62mm/30-06 caliber". The study and development has been ongoing for 8+ years.
