30 BRX ?

I have a 17.5 twist HV that I was planning to use for a 30BR project for a fun bench gun that has HUGE barrel life. I was wondering if someone could please chime in on the barrel life of the 30BRX round not pushing the crap out of it. Or would you think it would be best to just stick with the orig. plan ?
Thanks for the input.......Rick

I knew a guy (now deceased) in Ky who shot a 30 Dasher
and he won some IBS score matches at Buck Creek shooting
against tough competition.
I would go with the improved version. Put a muzzle brake on it
and you will have more fun!!!

Don't know about the 30 BRX but we changed our 308 Winchester over the course rifles at about 3,000 rds. whether they needed it or not. And rapid fire rounds really shorten barrel life.

The BRX will have a substantially longer useful barrel life than a 308 shot at the same rate. Less powder down the same sized hole if for no other reason. 20 rounds of each will equate to a lot less heat.
