30 BR H4198 & 110 VMAXs

I want to try 110 VMAXs in my 30 BR. Can anyone give me a starting point. I usually shoot 116 Eubers and just thought that I would give the VMAXs a try.
Thanks,
Bob

Here are the max loads from Sierra's load tables with their 110HP. Sorry nothing for H4198. My guess is that you can't put too much H4198 in a 30BR case for the 110s. However, I am shooting some older lots of H4198 that seem a little slower than some of the more recent lots. I had to back off almost 1.5 gr with my new lot of H4198 with the 118s. I would start around 30.0 gr of H4198 and working up. Again the loads below are max. loads in the Sierra manual. Start lower and work up.

Luck, tiny

Bob,
I have used a newer lot of H4198 in my 30br. I used 110's to fireform my first time out. They shot surprisingly well, though not as well as the BIB 118's. I used 33.0-34.1grs in my savage with no signs of pressure. I think Tiny's advice is good...start low and work up, though I also agree that you almost can't have too much of it in the 30br case, there are those that shoot upwards of 35grs though I have not been that brave,34.5 is as high as I've gone, and had no problem in a diamondback action).
10% below max is always a good place to start, though I suspect you will be able to go up easily.
Do you have a chrony? 2950 or so is the 'magic' number.
Good luck,
Mike
