30 BR Bullet Question

I'm having a hard time locating any 30 cal bullets to shoot out of my 30 BR. Does anyone have any experience with Lapua 100gr 30 cal bullets in an 18 twist barrel? Thanks in advance for the help.

You probably won't win with them but they're "alright". They'd do better in a 16 or 17 twist, as well. They just aren't as good as custom bullets. I've shot the 100 and the prototype 110 grains. For me, the 110s were a little better but just "okay".

I shoot 30BR-Lapua pistol specifically chambered for the 100gr Lapua bullet but it won’t work in a ‘standard’ 30BR chamber; it needs more free bore and a leade angel that accommodates the truncated cone of the Lapua bullet. It also has much more bearing surface than any other light 30 caliber bullets and completely fills the case neck making it impossible to get the amount of powder in the case that most shooters expect. I shoot a 1:17 barrel.

If you can pick up some 125 gr TNT They shoot quite well.

Thanks for info. I'll stay away from the lapua for now. EPS bullets has some 118s that I'm looking forward to trying.
