.30-30 question

I have not been able to find standard 150 gr .30-30 bullets for a while, so I have been clipping the noses off 150 gr .308 FMJ bullets to load up. My question is does anybody know of a tool designed to cleanly do this? This as opposed to flattening the bullet with a grinder or such.

These round work OK, but they are not consistent the way I've been doing the job, i.e. clipping or grinding and then smoothing.

Define “standard” and I’ll go down to my local Gibson’s and see if they have some. I bought a couple boxes of Speer Hot Core soft points a few months ago. They weren’t cheap at about $50/box.
They might have them.
I also found and bought 500 Extreme plated lead 150s online for about $60.
