thefitter said:Thanks. I started reading up on shoulder angles and found this:

Main points seem to be that a 40 degree shoulder (AI) has turbulance and doughnut issues.
Thoughts? Opinions?
I was thinking of doing a 7mm-06 with a 30 degree shoulder. Not sure what to call it...7mm-06 TFI (The Fitter Improved? 8))
Thanks

interesting. Hard to find any references to a 30-06 mashburn. A few references to a 30-06 icl but not sure of the dimensions. Anyway, a 30-06 improved 30 degree shoulder would be interesting, but whether it would give any real world benefits over ackley,s 40 degree version I don't knowCatShooter said:thefitter said:Anybody ever heard of this? Yup... it is a Mashburn.
He did a lot of wildcats, and prefered the 30 degree shoulder.
